From the streets to the heart of your daily life, Monse introduced its Pre-fall 2018 collection in a supermarket. There, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia’s signature asymmetrical cuts come to life in graphic prints.
The young brand toys with volumes, creating tailored striped tops that follow the lines of the body before blooming in ruffles on the shoulders and lengthening into flowing drapery. Pencil skirts are slitted high on the thigh, unfolding into draped tails, giving a precise sense of modernity to conservative pieces, Monse-style.
Urban-wear meets classical pieces, as a suit jacket becomes oversize, layering cuffs on top of one another, just like denim jackets, while asymmetrical sweat-shirts become dresses with a short train.

This season the American duo’s knits are at times graphic with green and black stripes, and a rolled neck. Other times they are tinted with sensuality, unveiling the shoulders under a capital letter Monse. Logomania never looked so soft.
