Pierre Bonnefille The art of transformation

A fresh graduate from the Ecole Boulle AND from the Arts Décoratifs, French painter and colorist Pierre Bonnefille opens his own workshop. For the last 25 years, he’s kept himself busy, bringing colors together, shaping materials in which he carves patterns that emerge like metallic, mineral or vegetal skin. The result is a constant modulation of light, color and space.

Brought in from all around the globe, the pigments he uses are selected in function of their destined location, allowing for a unique luminous harmony.

In 2010, French Minister for Culture and Communication Frédéric Mitterrand appointed Pierre Bonnefille Maître d’Art.

Café Marly, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christie’s or even Cartier in Shangaï are amongst his loyal customers.

Pierre Bonnefille’s work can be seen at Leclaireur Hérold and Los Angeles.
