Fendi La dolce vita

Adele and Edoardo Fendi launched their fashion House, Fendi, in Roma, in 1925. At first specialized in leather work, they eventually created a refined, sophisticated and very Italian silhouette.

Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Alda, the five Fendi daughters, become heads of the House in 1946, giving it a new impetus with their first collections which prominently feature fur. Their Fur manager, a certain Karl Lagerfeld, became their new artistic director in 1965. In 1977, Fendi launched its ready-to-wear line. Some 17 years later, Silvia Venturini Fendi - Adele and Edoardo's grand-daughter - joined the House as menswear and accessories head designer, and created the iconic, forever « it » Baguette bag.

Holding Roma and its symbols close to its heart, Fendi took part in the Trevi Fountain's restoration - which welcomes the Fall/Winter Couture 2016 and its models to celebrate the House's 90th anniversary.

Under Fendi's customary bright and fluffy fur coats, the Fall/Winter 2016 collection comes to life in stripes and waves. The House's graphic range of blues - from navy to azure - and oriental printed golden browns is shaken by the season's must have - ruffles.
