Borek Sipek Baroque Glass

Borek Sipek is a Czech architect and designer. Made famous by his colorful glass creations – with a real baroque twist to them, Sipek is now considered as one of the most important figures of modern glass-making. He graduated from Hamburg’s School of Fine Arts in 1968, before being chosen by Vaclav Havel to be the architect of the Prague Castle in 1992 after a fruitful career. Influenced by « the Dutch phantasmagoria, the Italian abundance and the Bohemian melancholia »,  Borek Sipek always refused to associate design with functionality,
