Attachment Trendy classics
Attachment was founded in 1999 by Kazuyuki Kumagai, after 5 years spent with Issey Miyake’s team.
In Kumagai’s hands, casuals are the result of a perfect blend between laid-back garments and streetwear, infused with Western influences. Attachment’s esthetic is sober, contemporary, reduced to the bare essentials. The Japanese designer uses laser cutting to obtain perfect, clean lines, and reinvents classical pieces, including leather jackets, denims and supima cotton t-shirts.
The brand has helped popularize several trends on the Japanese fashion scene, amongst which the “J-shaped” pant shape, with its banana-like arched legs.
Since 2007, the brand has been divided in two labels. As Attachment continues to push the boundaries of classical streetwear, Kazuyuki Kumagai Attachment is more focused on a edgy and creative approach that uses the finest of materials.
