LECLAIREUR Sévigné recently – and proudly – hosted Philippe Starck‘s first perfume line launch. Last Thursday, Arne Quinze’s architectural archway hovered above the Parisian creme de la creme, comprised of artists, celebrities, fashion players, influencers, journalists, and friends, bien-sûr, gathered to lift the veil on the designer’s unique and personal olfactive universe.
Disseminated throughout the space, perfume bottles were accessible in their triptych lay-out. While the experience was undoubtedly olfactory, it also toyed with our other senses. Side by side, the bottles create a unique, cellular-like fresco of sorts, where matter and color – Peau de Soie’s powdery pink, Peau d’Ailleurs’ celestial yellow and Peau de Pierre’s matte grey – were meant to stir our sight and our touch. Polished, smooth or rough, to each flacon its unique feel.
