THE PIXSWEET EXPERIENCE – What does art taste like?

Janne Kyttanen recently hosted an experiential night at LECLAIREUR Los Angeles, in the form of a spirited cocktail party. Unexpected cocktails and Pixsweet’s 3D-casted ice-creams, guests were invited to let their senses be tricked, and their expectations toyed with.

Finland-born Janne Kyttanen is a multidisciplinary artist who has been combining 3D printing with virtual and augmented reality. He is known for the array of items and furniture which he creates, mixing organic, sculptural and graphic shapes. His innovative work landed him a feature in TIME Magazine’s ‘Design 100’ list, notably highlighting « 610 », his 3D-printed lamp.

And so, on November 3rd, friends of the artist and carefully selected influencers unleashed their senses to experience taste, blind-folded thanks to a playful 3D-printed mask, gracing their tastebuds with the cool sharpness of such delicacies as kale, grapefruit, blackberry and watermelon infused popsicles.

LECLAIREUR LA’s reveled in Pixsweet’s cool and fresh attitude, and photographer Marissa Joy was there to capture the fun.
