No more rules

2017 is upon us and with that comes a new sense of hopes and expectations.

This year, we hereby state that fashion is precision. That chances are anticipated. That conventions are made to be transgressed. So this winter, let’s break out of our shells and dare to dab in new textures. With this new year coming, let’s reaffirm that the game has changed, let’s allow glitter to spread its magic from head to toe. Forget the neckline, collars will smoothly slide from the nape of the neck to hug the shoulders. Fishnets and bustiers will cover shirts and dress us in wildness. We’ll use bags like jewels and glasses like face invaders. We’ll neglect nothing. Ever.

Amongst those who have redefined fashion are historical names such as Maison Martin Margiela (currently in John Galliano’s hands), Issey Miyake, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, and Yamamoto – bringing his edge into sportswear with Y-3.
To initiate the new year, we connect them with a new generation of nonconformist designers, from Marques’Almeida to Faith Connexion, from Maticevski to Sener Besim.

In 2017, let’s get ready to take on a whole new world, with a whole new sense of style.

Greetings and gratitude,
Leclaireur
