This collaboration is a new milestone for Moncler, who are by now used to collaborating with renowned designers. Giambattista Valli and Thom Browne – with Gammes Bleu and Gammes Rouge – Sacai, Greg Lauren (whose interview you can read here) have all associated their names with the Italian brand. Together, Moncler and Craig Green bring garments to new heights, and choose to warm up people’s souls with a sense of protection and comfort.
Craig Green was able to match the Italian brand’s technical expertise with his very personal vision of the Moncler universe, where black meets black, maintaining our attention on the silhouette itself.
Coats, jackets and waistcoats have been designed and crafted like armors made to shelter from the cold, almost in a padded response to his Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Ties, scattered across the garments, lighten up the silhouette, strengthening the dramatic feel which the London designer embraces. Functional sweaters, upgraded with synthetic fabrics on the shoulders, come infused with the British designer’s military vibe.
This collection, dedicated to urban explorers and enthusiastic mountain-lovers, is available at Leclaireur Sévigné.
