Masnada creates garments, each conceived like a second skin, a natural extension of the body, to enhance its movements, which is just what we need for the upcoming mild Spring.
A single, pure line gives the Masnada silhouette its silhouette. Angelo Ianello leans on Italian craftsmanship, the backbone of his collections, as well as on natural and incredibly long-lasting materials – linen, hemp, cottons, all handworked and treated traditionally. By studying shapes and using natural colors – ochre, black and coal – that evoke the earthy ground and a somewhat primitive feel, he’s infused his collection with a minimalistic, esthetic raw power. Cut-out knitwear, jackets, frayed edges sweaters and dropped-crotch pants all come together.
When he founded Masnada in 2007, Angelo Ianello came to the table with ten plus years spent crafting theatre costumes and a creative obsession that had led him to create new fabrics. In the meantime, the Italian designer has found his way back to his native land, supported by the same creative and loyal team he used to work with in the UK, to experiment and imagine pieces which adapt to any given personality or core energy. The fluidity of his fabrics favors a direct connection with our skin and, hence, our deepest emotions.
The result can be seen in our selection of timeless pieces, at Leclaireur Champs Elysées.
