It’s pop-up-store time at Leclaireur Boissy d’Anglas, where Maison Margiela is set to feature and highlight the house’s latest Spring-Summer collection.
From February 22 to March 13, 2017, six silhouettes will be displayed as forewords to a collection where genders and materials blend, merge with each other, binded with a common vital force.
Hailing Maison Margiela’s colors, Boissy d’Anglas‘ three windows display what comes off as a token to John Galliano’s fantasies, and the Maison’s taste for divergence, twisting the ordinary and creating wonders.
Inside, three steles – dripping in Margiela white – display shoes, necklaces and bags, radiating with a profusion of influences that binds the Spring/Summer 2017 collection together.
John Galliano is known for his take on the mundane, for his ability to override norms, and for his esthetics, both refined and spontaneous, whimsical and complex. Here, organza, lace, leather and neoprene meet, plaid get acquainted with mesh tops, taken out of the field, shoulders expanding, reaching out for a glass of champagne. Day and night combine when a simple shirt jumpsuit sees its waist hugged by a red party belt to match the house’s latest it-bag, balanced lightly on the wrist of she who must be seen and knows where to go.
Face the impetuous with Maison Margiela’s pop-up store, at Leclaireur Boissy d’Anglas, until March 13…
