Last October 18 saw Leclaireur Los Angeles welcome the Women in Design Dine event. Co-organized with Erika Heet, Interior Magazine’s editor-in-chief, the special event honored the memory of Zaha Hadid, one of the most important figures in the worlds of Architecture and Design.
Twenty female Los-Angeles based designers hence came together to celebrate women’s contribution in their field. Leclaireur Los Angeles co-founder Meryl Hadida-Shabani hosted.
Tracie Butler, whose work in interior design was recently awarded, was among the guests, with the likes of Gaia Nodari, Terre Jacobs, Gulla Jonsdottir. Jane Glassman and Hananet Thompson were also at the table. These women, each considered a source of constant inspiration by peers, share more than a field.
As the conversations flowed in a familial atmosphere. The meal itself was the work of acclaimed Italian restaurateur Giacomo Drago, who felt right at home in the Los Angeles Residence’s wonderful kitchen.
Was it the sunny taste of Sicily? The white immaculate flower arrangement? The organic ceiling light created by Lindsey Adelman, or the Furoshiki and Bronze Paintings by Pierre Bonnefille? Or the mindful artworks by Philippe Hiquily and Zaha Hadid?
All that can be said is that the combination of all these ingredients, of all the right souls, of such talents and hearts gathered at the L.A. Residence, truly made it feel like a home away from home.
Au revoir, Mesdames…
