Ajmone has created a leather jacket collection infused with strength, spirit, and enhanced by the sense of style known to Italian craftsmen. Long story short, there’s nothing like a thick skin to face the world’s risky whims.
The starting point of Ajmone’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection, Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times, is the ideal metaphor for the brand’s approach to textures. In its reign over the silent movie era, Charlie Chaplin made gesture his signature brand. Ajmone is like Chaplin.
Its high-end leather comes as a representation of the brand’s philosophy, a way of living and thinking. Its texture, handworked, is easily identifiable and perfects itself over time. A vegetal tanning preserves the garment’s natural imperfection and its grain. It also keeps lines of leather undamaged, intensifying the material’s raw and magnetic essence.
Founded in 2015 by Roberto Aimone and his son Stefano, Ajmone is known for crafting made-to-mesure restyled leather jackets. From the perfecto to the biker jacket, each style is limited to 30 numbered pieces, resulting in actual editions, rather than simple collections. This season, Ajmone is all about dark tones – black, charcoal or deep brown, an hommage to the industrial ages Chaplin once redefined, oh so well.
