History
In 1980, Armand Hadida opened his first point of sale in the basement of a gallery on the Champs Elysées. For him a way to affirm his chosen path by proposing clothes of designers embodying the brightness in fashion for the upcoming decades.
He became the first distributor of brands like Girbaud, Prada, Helmut Lang, John Galliano, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Martin Margiela in France.
1980 — Opening of the first boutique “L’Eclaireur” on the Champs Elysées (Paris 8).
1990 — Opening of a 300m2 large space, rue des Rosiers (Paris 4), an association of multiple artistic expressions concerning fashion, silverware, glass and design.
2000 — Opening of a new space, 12 rue Malher (Paris 4), dedicated to menswear and fragrances.
2001 — Opening of a 500 m2 large space, 10 rue Hérold (place des Victoires, Paris 1). The boutique will become rewarded as the number 1 in the world of Luxury by Goldman Sachs.
2007 — Opening of a 500 m2 large space, 10 rue Boissy d’Anglas (Paris 8), with the first fully equipped restaurant as a tribute to Piero Fornasetti.
2009 — Inauguration of a new 450 m2 large space, 40 rue de Sévigné (Paris 3), created in collaboration with Arne Quinze.
2010 — L’Eclaireur celebrates its 30th anniversary.
2011 — Opening of “Le Royal Eclaireur”, inside of Royal Monceau Hotel 39/41 Avenue Hoche. Paris 8éme.
