Smile with your eyes
Linda Farrow founded her eyewear brand in 1970. She was the first designer to see in sunglasses true fashion accessories.
As she started collaborating with Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Sonia Rykiel, her work caught the eye of celebrities, , like Yoko Ono, taken by her avant-garde style. In the 80s, Linda Farrow put her work aside to focus on her family. The hiatus lasted almost twenty years, until Simon Jablon, her son, discovered boxes filled with vintage Linda Farrow shades in the family house. Since 2003, Linda Farrow’s name has been seen on the most influent designer’s catwalks, from Dries Van Noten to Philippe Lim, from Sacai to Kris Van Assche.
Her sunglasses set themselves appart with a style drawing from vintage frames treated in an innovative and modern way, resulting in refined and edgy designs.
In the latest Linda Farrow collection for Fall/Winter 2017, the models are big, rounded and light. The frames have become thinner and the lenses come in light pink, orange, yellow for a sunny 70s vibe with a contemporary and minimalistic twist.
