This year, and until March 17, Leclaireur welcomes you at Design Days Dubai.
Martine & Armand Hadida have chosen to highlight Pierre Bonnefille’s artistry with an installation entirely dedicated to the Master of Art’s work.
Bonnefille‘s new « Bronze Box » shares the spotlight with the nature-inspired, geometrically-shaped « Metamorphosis » collection, and several limited editions of his « Bronze Paintings » and « Furoshiki Drawings ». Each piece presented offers playful and astounding interpretations of light and the contrasts it offers.
Basking in an almost divine glow, the « Bronze Box » pulls the visitor out of Time’s embrace, creating a safe haven that favors meditation. Outside, rich with bronze powder textures, the « Bronze Paintings » reflect a myriad of oneiric landscapes born out of… light. As for the « Furoshiki Drawings », they channel the quintessential movements found in the traditional Japanese art of fabric wrapping. Such virtuosity finds its way into Bonnefille‘s rendition on paper, through the bronze and carbon pigments. Each gesture seems to have crystallized – in two dimensions – the memory of a three-dimensional millenary tradition.
After both editions of PAD Paris and London last year, and following the opening of its latest space in Los Angeles, largely dedicated to design, Leclaireur maintains its focus and continues developing its vision on the international Design scene.
No firm plans to stop by Dubai this week? Leclaireur and Pierre Bonnefille look forward to seeing you in New York, attending Collective Design Fair, May 3-7, 2017.
